Birchard Public Library Closing
After careful consideration, Birchard Public Library has made the difficult decision to close temporarily in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The library will close Monday, March 16, 2020 at 5:00 pm. In the interest of protecting those we serve and supporting the statewide effort to contain the spread of COVID-19, the library will be closed for at least several weeks. Our reopening date will be based upon ongoing developments with regard to the Coronavirus pandemic. The library will continue to provide digital services, such as ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, streaming movies, television, and music, access to online magazines, and many other resources. While exterior book drops are open, patrons are encouraged to keep items until we reopen. Please follow us on Facebook and check our website for updates. We will keep you advised of any additional information which may become available. We look forward to a return to normal operations as soon as it is safe and practical to do so. Until then, we hope you will join us in following the suggestions of the CDC for staying healthy.
