Interlibrary Loan
Need an item that is not listed in our online catalog?
Books, copies of articles, music, movies, and microfilm can be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
Interlibrary loans are available at the main library and all branches.
Searching for your items can take several weeks in some cases.
The item is sent to the library and checked out to you.
Some libraries request that your materials be used in the library only.
Meeting Room
Birchard Public Library provides meeting rooms at the Main Library for public use. There are several rooms of different sizes available, up to a maximum of 100 people.
Outreach Services
Outreach Services provides library materials to people who are unable to leave their residences because of physical disabilities, regardless if they still live at home, in a rehabilitation hospital, or an assisted living center. Outreach Services also delivers book collections to daycare centers, nursery schools, and licensed home childcare providers who provide services to preschool children.
The Outreach Department of Birchard Library serves residents of Sandusky County.
Tax Forms
Access to the IRS website, state tax, and local tax websites is available on library computers.
Forms can be printed from those sites at $.10 per page.

Voter Registration
Birchard Public Library and its branches are voter registration locations.
The applications are available at every library Circulation Desk.
No identification is required to register, however, to vote an individual must be a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days,
and be registered to vote at least 30 days before the election.
